Background:

We were approached by Multistory TV to discuss their upcoming website redevelopment. Following an initial videocall, we were tasked with creating an initial proposal that included timelines and commercial terms. To guide the project, Multistory shared a low-fidelity wireframe outlining their proposed sitemap.

Challenges:

The existing website, built on WordPress and over four years old, presented numerous issues. The original project encountered difficulties, with much of the photography and videography content being added late in the process, resulting in a slow, bloated site that was poorly optimised for mobile use. Additional technical issues included missing pages and failed Instagram integrations. Although Multistory had some control over updates, the backend setup made launching new projects challenging.

Objectives:

The primary goal for the new website was to generate leads by creating a clear and structured user journey. Multistory also wanted to position themselves as leaders in the production sector and showcase their projects with high-quality imagery and videography. Our design had to align with their existing brand guidelines and logo, ensuring consistency across their digital presence.

Our Approach:

Pixel Kicks focused on delivering a user-friendly, mobile-responsive website with an easy-to-manage CMS for ongoing content updates. We aimed to improve site performance by optimising media assets and ensuring a seamless user experience across all devices. Our intelligent design prioritised brand consistency, user experience, and lead generation.

Technical Solutions:

  • Simplified page-building experience within the CMS for Multistory’s team.
  • Modern, responsive design optimised for mobile and desktop users.
  • Hosting and ongoing WordPress maintenance provided as part of our service package.

Inspirational References:

To inform our design and technical approach, we referenced high-quality industry websites such as ITV, Sugar Free TV, and Channel 4. These sites helped shape our vision for a clean, visually engaging platform that would effectively communicate Multistory’s expertise and portfolio.
